U.S. Carbon Output Climbed 2.7% in First Half of 2010, EIA Says

Sept. 30 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. carbon dioxide emissions from
energy consumption climbed 2.7 percent during the first half of
the year, the Energy Information Administration said.
Coal, oil and natural gas use from January 1 to June 30
produced 2.78 billion metric tons of carbon dioxide, compared to
2.71 billion tons from the same period last year, the EIA said
today in its September Monthly Energy Review.
