China Can Make 1 Mln Electric Vehicles in 2020, Xinhua Says

Oct. 16 (Bloomberg) -- China will be capable of producing 1
million electric-powered automobiles by the year 2020, the
Xinhua News Agency reported, citing Wan Gang, minister of
science and technology. About 8.5 billion yuan ($1.3 billion)
has been invested in manufacturing electric cars, Xinhua said.
By next year there will be enough battery-making capacity to
power 150,000 cars, Xinhua said cited Wan as saying.
