UN CO2 Board Calls Public Consultation on Liability of Auditors

Sept. 18 (Bloomberg) -- The executive board of the United
Nations Clean Development Mechanism started public consultations
on its proposal to make auditors of carbon-reduction projects
liable for excess issuance of offset credits.
The consultation will be open for three weeks from Sept. 17
to Oct. 15 on the website of the UN Framework Convention on
Climate Change, the board said in a report after its meeting
held from Sept. 13 to Sept. 17 in Brasilia.
