EU to Present Proposal on Hydrofluorocarbon Credits in November

Sept. 14 (Bloomberg) -- European Union Climate Chief Connie
Hedegaard said she asked her staff to come up "at the latest
early in November" with a proposal on the use of carbon offset
credits related to projects that cut hydrofluorocarbons in the
bloc's emissions program.
The EU has said it was planning to introduce quality
restrictions on the use of credits related to industrial gas
HFC-23 for compliance in its cap-and-trade carbon program.
