Nov. 2 (Bloomberg) -- Point Carbon has revised down its
price forecast for European Union carbon dioxide permits in 2016
to 30 euros ($41.90) a metric ton.
Point Carbon, the Oslo-based provider of research on
emission markets, forecast in June that prices would reach 33
euros by 2016. Its new forecast assumes the EU will set a 25
percent emissions-reduction target for 2020, the researcher said
today in an e-mailed statement.
