EU Carbon Increases to 5-Week High Before Regulator Announcement

Nov. 25 (Bloomberg) -- European Union carbon dioxide
permits rose to their highest price in more than five weeks as
regulators prepare to announce new restrictions at noon Brussels
time today on use of offset credits.
December 2010 EU carbon allowances advanced as much as 1.5
percent to 15.37 euros ($20.49) a metric ton and were at 15.34
euros as of 7:51 a.m., according to data from the ICE Futures
Europe exchange in London.
