Nov. 23 (Bloomberg) -- The World Bank approved three loans
totaling $700 million to help Mexico fight climate change.
A 14-year loan of $400 million will be used to increase
Mexico's use of renewable power, promote forestry management and
expedite investments in energy-efficient housing, the country's
Finance Ministry said in an e-mailed statement today.
A $250 million, 12-year loan and a $50 million, 20-year
loan will be used to replace incandescent light bulbs and
domestic appliances with new efficient models, according to the
statement.
