China's Power Use May Rise 8.8% Through 2015, Power News Reports

Nov. 25 (Bloomberg) -- China's annual power consumption may
rise between 6 percent and 8.8 percent through 2015 to as much
as 6.32 trillion kilowatt-hours by then, state-backed China
Power News reported, citing unidentified people at the State
Grid Energy Research Institute.
Clean energy sources may fuel 31 percent of the nation's
electricity generating capacity by 2015, said the newspaper,
which is run by the State Electricity Regulatory Commission. The
ratio was 24 percent in 2009, China Power News said.
