ICE Exchange Has 'Right' to Determine CER Types in Futures

Nov. 26 (Bloomberg) -- The ICE Futures Europe exchange said
it has the "right" to determine the type of offset credits
that can be used to settle Certified Emission Reduction futures
contracts, the bourse said in an e-mailed statement dated
yesterday.
The London-based exchange said it would make a further
statement on a European Union proposal yesterday to ban certain
offset credits from 2013 by Dec. 11. ICE offers a March 2013 CER
contract which plunged 5.5 percent yesterday to a record 10.56
euros a metric ton.
