UNFCCC Requests Review of 5th HFC Project Before Giving Credits

Aug. 20 (Bloomberg) -- Regulators of United Nations
greenhouse-gas credits in Bonn won't immediately issue tradable
emissions credits to the developer of a hydrofluorocarbon-23
project in China as they seek more information.
The regulator seeks to review issuance to the Zhejiang
Juhua Co. plant, which was seeking 1.4 million metric tons of
credits, according to the UN Framework Convention on Climate
Change website. It is the fifth request for review this week
from the secretariat of the UNFCCC.
