UNFCCC Names HFC-Critic Schneider to Role in Carbon-Trading Unit

Aug. 18 (Bloomberg) -- The United Nations Framework
Convention on Climate Change appointed Lambert Schneider to a
role in its emissions-trading unit.
Schneider, who analyzed hydrofluorocarbon credits for the
environmental group CDM Watch, will work in the standard-setting
division, the UNFCCC said today in an e-mailed statement. Bonn-
based CDM Watch alleged in reports earlier this year that some
factories were boosting output in order to improperly obtain
tradable emission credits from the UN program.
