Nov. 3 (Bloomberg) -- A United Nations Environment Program
unit trimmed its forecast for the supply of greenhouse-gas
credits by 2.3 percent.
The UN will probably issue Clean Development Mechanism
credits for 954 million metric tons of carbon-dioxide equivalent
through 2012, compared with a previous forecast of 976 million
tons for the period, according to data posted on the Risoe
Centre on Energy, Climate & Sustainable Development's website.
Risoe is based in Roskilde, Denmark.
During October, 98 new projects sought approval for
registration, Risoe said. Since 2005, credits for 450.3 million
tons of carbon-dioxide equivalent have been issued, Risoe said.
