Oct. 5 (Bloomberg) -- Poland is negotiating the sale of
emissions rights under the Kyoto Protocol to Japan, Prime
Minister Donald Tusk said today in Warsaw.
The two countries are now discussing a letter of intent and
the Japanese side has offered an "attractive price," Tusk told
reporters at a news conference.
The central European country has so far signed deals to
sell Assigned Amount Units, known as AAUs, worth 80 million
euros ($110.7 million) this year and Environment Minister
Andrzej Kraszewski last month confirmed the full-year target of
150 million euros.
