Sept. 1 (Bloomberg) -- The European Bank for Reconstruction
and Development plans to purchase carbon-dioxide emission
credits from wind farms in Estonia and Lithuania.
The EBRD's Multilateral Carbon Credit Fund will buy
emission-reduction units from six wind farms managed by Estonia-
based renewable energy producer OU Nelja Energia, the London-
based bank said today in an e-mailed statement.
The transaction requires approval by the Estonian and
Lithuanian governments, it said.
