Sberbank Approves Gazprom, Mitsubishi Carbon Project, IFX Says

Aug. 4 (Bloomberg) -- OAO Sberbank approved an application
from OAO Gazprom Neft, Mitsubishi Corp. and Nippon Oil Corp. for
a project to reduce carbon emissions under the Kyoto Protocol,
Interfax said, citing the Russian state-owned bank.
The project aims to cut pollution by using associated gas
pumed at an oil field in Siberia rather than burning it,
Interfax said.
