China to 'Basically Meet' Energy Intensity Target, Xinhua Says

Jan. 7 (Bloomberg) -- China will "basically meet" its
target of reducing energy consumption per unit of gross domestic
product by about 20 percent by the end of 2010 from 2005 levels,
Xinhua News Agency said, citing National Development and Reform
Commission Director Zhang Ping.
