Jan. 18 (Bloomberg) -- The German government may curb
subsidies paid to solar-power poroducers earlier than planned,
the Financial Times Deutschland newspaper reported, citing a
paper prepared by the Environment Ministry.
Subsidies may be cut by as much as 15 percent from July 1,
the newspaper said in an e-mail. The cuts should be based on
market developments in March, April in May this year and be
between 9 percent and 15 percent, with a further 9 percent cut
from Jan. 1, 2012, it said, quoting from the paper.
Environment Minister Norbert Roettgen and the head of the
solar-power industry federation, Guenther Cramer, are due to
present the paper on Jan. 20, the FTD said.
