Dec. 13 (Bloomberg) -- EU carbon allowances for December
2011 rose as much as 1.8 percent to 15.17 euros, the biggest
intraday increase since Nov. 17, and traded at 15.03 euros as of
9:15 a.m. on London's ICE Futures Europe Exchange. The contract
extended this year's advance to 14 percent.
...The premium of 2011 European Union carbon allowances
over those for 2010 jumped as much as 10 percent as international climate-
protection talks made progress.
The premium rose as much as 3 cents to 34 euro cents a ton on the ICE
Futures Europe exchange in London, the widest since Aug. 11. It was at 32 cents
as of 9:19 a.m. local time.
