Ecuador President Supports a Tax on Carbon Dioxide Emissions

Dec. 11 (Bloomberg) -- Ecuador President Rafael Correa said
today he supports imposition of a global tax on carbon to reduce
emissions.
Speaking at the opening of a meeting of the Organization of
Petroleum Exporting Countries in Quito, Ecuador, Correa also
said OPEC could play a leading role in the effort to curb global
warming.
