Dec. 2 (Bloomberg) -- Green Exchange LLC, a New York-based
venture that includes Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Goldman Sachs
Group Inc. and ICAP Energy, is checking for "suspect" carbon-
emission allowances, Managing Director Henrik Hasselknippe said
in a telephone interview today.
"We are screening for suspect allowances based on the
currently available information" Hasselknippe said from London.
"Any action would need to be based on guidance from the
applicable regulatory authorities."
The EU contract for December expires on Dec. 20 on the
Green Exchange with delivery on Dec. 22, he said. The exchange
will check on delivery, he said.
